The Practice
Sarah Carroll, M.D.

Dr. Carroll completed her residency at the University of Tennessee.  She then finished fellowships at the University of Wisconsin in cytopathology and hematopathology.  Dr. Carroll enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor adventures. She is also a proficient swing dancer.

Paul Murray, M.D.

Dr. Murray came to Happy Valley after completing residency, surgical pathology fellowship and cytopathology fellowship at the University of Iowa. He is the medical director of the Mount Nittany Medical Center laboratory.  Dr. Murray serves on the MNMC medical executive council.  He enjoys fitness, kayaking and spending time outdoors with his wife and three children.

Harry Kamerow, M.D.

Dr. Kamerow did his residency at New York University and a cytopathology fellowship at George Washington University.  Dr. Kamerow is the medical director of the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital laboratory.  He has a special interest in forensic pathology and performs many of the autopsies in the Centre region.  He enjoys skiing and traveling.  

Sam Hassinger, PA

Sam has served Centre Pathology Associates and MNMC for greater than 20 years as pathologist assistant.  He plays a vital role in the gross examination of specimens and communicating with surgeons.  Sam enjoys gardening and bird watching.
History

 

Centre Pathology Associates, P.C. was formed in 1988 by Drs. Magnani, Handte and Cawthern.  After the retirement of Dr. Magnani, the practice expanded to four physicians with the addition of Drs. Kamerow and Vautour in 1991.  Six years later Dr. Kolar joined the group.  Following the death of Dr. Cawthern, Dr. Murray joined the group.  Dr. Carroll joined in 2018. Drs. Kolar and Vautour retired from the group in 2021.
